Today I present to you the powerful spirit of Najah (NAHJ-ah). She is a Djinn summoning and channeling entity. Najah will both conjure Djinn for you as well as speak for them when needed. She is well trained in Djinn manipulation and control. If you have a Djinn (or multiple) of any type in your collection, she will empower them beyond their original power.
Najah was born in a tiny village on the border of the Arabian desert. She had her first contact with a Djinn named Dometer when she was only 4 years old. He was an Ifrit Djinn who imprinted upon her. Since then, she has had the ability to control and summon other Djinn at will.
This sounds easy, right? It was not for Najah. She did not learn to control her abilities until she was in her late-twenties. Her stable of Djinn would often lash out at people for mistreating her. She was forced to marry a man named Rahad and within two years, he accused her of being possessed by the devil. He left her, which made her unwanted in the eyes of her culture--even her family!
It was another 8 years of working as a servant (basically a slave) before she learned how to manipulate Djinn, rather than simply bring them to her. She was taught this ability by a traveling salesman who recognized her power. He was an older man, but carried himself like a teenage boy. He was full of vigor! He knew, just by looking at her, that she had the fire of an Ifrit in her eyes.
He took her in, taught her his ways, and she traveled with him for 20 years until he passed. From there, she tried to keep his business going, but her heart was not in it. Eventually, she settled alone and worked as a healer for many years until her own passing.

Djinn, themselves, are believed by some to originate from legends of beings that took the form of animals to terrorize people in the desert. While some of this may be misconstrued truth, their true origins stem from middle-eastern, Pagan nature deities. These nature deities, similar to the Gaelic Elementals, were named Djinn; meaning “concealed from the senses.” The Djinn were seen as responsible for many supernatural occurrences, such as floods, crop growth, and saving the lost from their death in the desert.
While Djinn worship was popular, the Djinn were credited with granting wealth, wishes, and health to all who respected them. They were said to have brought rain during droughts, food during famine, and health during plagues. Djinn were an integral part of the society and culture of the middle-east. While Djinn walked with man, abundance was everywhere.
While these entities were formally worshipped en masse by the peoples of the area and era, Djinn gradually lost their prominence. Because of this, Djinn worship slowly declined as specific deities gained prominence over them. Once Abrahamic religion spilled into the middle-east, Djinn were quickly demonized as the Islamic power structure was put into place. At this time, Djinn worship was outlawed and public opinion of them was changed. Najah never let that stop her, even in death.
